After months of rumors, Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have finally announced price hikes across their prepaid and postpaid plans. Jio’s Revised Prepaid Plans:

2. Rs 299 Plan: Rs 299 Plan: The popular Rs 249 plan has been increased to Rs 299. It offers 1GB of data per day along with unlimited calls and SMS.

3. Rs 399 Plan: Up from Rs 349, this plan provides 2.5GB of daily data.

4. Rs 449 Plan: Rs 449 Plan: Previously Rs 399, it now offers 3GB of daily data for 28 days, suitable for heavy data users.

5. Two-Month Plans: Two-Month Plans: The Rs 579 plan now costs Rs 629 (1.5GB daily data), and the Rs 629 plan (formerly Rs 533) offers 2GB of data per day for 56 days.

6. Three-Month Plans: Three-Month Plans: The Rs 799 plan (previously Rs 666) provides 1.5GB of daily data. The Rs 1199 plan (up from Rs 999) includes 3GB of daily data for 84 days.

7. Annual Plans: Annual Plans: The Rs 3599 plan (formerly Rs 2999) now offers 2.5GB of data per day for a full year.

Jio’s Postpaid Plans:

1. Rs 349 Plan: Now costs Rs 349 (up from Rs 299) and offers 30GB of data per billing cycle.p>

Note: All Jio plans providing 2GB of data per day or more include unlimited 5G data.

Airtel’s Revised Plans:

The Central government and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) are likely to steer away from India’s top telecom service providers’ recent decision to hike tariffs, Economic Times reported on July 4.

Government officials and the telecom regulator have no intention to intervene and are likely to remain neutral over the issue of price hikes, the report said. The officials also highlighted that the tariffs in the country are among the lowest in the world, according to the report.

Last week saw Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea announced new data unlimited plans and revision in rates.

Jio emphasised its commitment to affordable internet access and highlighted its rapidly expanding 5G network, which boasts nearly 85 percent of India’s operational 5G cells.
